Are you pregnant and new to the UK?

We are here to support you! Our antenatal project helps ethnically diverse parents who are pregnant for the first time or having their first pregnancy in the UK. We provide emotional and practical individual support to help you feel confident and prepared for your baby’s arrival.

What We Offer:

  • – One-on-one emotional and practical support. 

  • – Help with attending appointments. 

  • – Support for your whole family. 

  • – Group sessions with other expectant parents from diverse backgrounds. 

  • – Ongoing postnatal support. 

Who Can Join?

This service is for ethnically diverse parents who are:

  • – Pregnant for the first time or having their first pregnancy in the UK. 

  •  

  • – Facing additional challenges such as recent migration, asylum-seeking status, language barriers, homelessness, financial hardship, or difficult family situations. 

  •  

  • – Willing to be contacted by our team to learn more about how we can support them. 

How to Get Referred:

– If you are receiving care from the Leith Community Midwifery service, your midwife may refer you after your dating scan (around 16 weeks). 

– With your consent, we will contact you to discuss how we can help. 

Our Goal: 

We want to help you:

  • – Feel supported and prepared for your baby’s arrival. 

  • – Understand the healthcare system and your options. 

  • – Build a strong connection with your baby before birth. 

  • – Create a loving and secure environment for your baby’s early development.
